For me it's not just a lake, but a part of who I am.

This place has been in my family for generations, and I've lived my life along its shores.

When I think of home, I think of lake Norvajärvi, where the worries of the modern world fade away, and I can truly be myself.

My late grandparents were the heart and soul of this place. In my childhood it was filled with wonder and adventure. My grandpa was a quiet man, and content with the lake as his only trusted friend. Even though he didn´t need many people or things in his life, he loved grandma, and me and my sister, very much. He taught us the ways of the wild. I remember the laughter and warmth of our time together. Fishing with grandpa, little forest adventures, and the joy of him building us slingshots out of wood or a baseball bat.

I'll never forget the day my sister and I had a little spat, and grandpa ended up making two fires, one for each of us. We sat there by the fires, backs turned, but hearts forever connected. Those memories forged a bond between me and my sister that nothing can break.

This place has always been my refuge, a source of strength and serenity. I've traveled the world, but my heart always yearned for the calm embrace of this lake.

Finally, after a decade of being gone, I returned here six years ago, and I can honestly say, I've found my completeness. Villa Arcticmint with its nature surroundings is a sanctuary for my soul, a place that will forever holds my most cherished memories and deepest connections.
