From November to March
Winter at Arcticmint means snow-covered forests, crisp Arctic air, and some of the best Northern Lights viewing conditions in Finnish Lapland. You can watch Auroras directly from the villa's private lakeside spot on Lake Norvajärvi, with zero light pollution. The winter season runs from November to March, with temperatures between -5 °C and -25 °C, and just 0–6 hours of daylight at the darkest.

Autumn
From August to November
Autumn in Lapland brings ruska – the breathtaking season when the landscape ignites in shades of red, orange, and gold. With temperatures gradually falling from around +10 °C to below 0 °C and daylight shortening from about 14 to 7 hours, nature transforms quickly. Ruska typically peaks in mid-September around Rovaniemi, making it one of Finland's best-kept secrets. The Northern Lights return, the forests are full of mushrooms and berries, and Arcticmint is at its most peaceful.

From June to August
When the sun never sets, Lapland is full of life. The forests turn lush green, wildflowers fill the meadows, and Lake Norvajärvi becomes warm enough to swim in, with temperatures typically ranging from +10 °C to +25 °C. On the warmest days the temperature can climb up even higher. From March to June
Spring in Lapland is a season of dramatic contrasts. Snow still partly covers the ground, but the sun climbs higher each day, with -2 °C and +10 °C and stretching daylight from 12 to 22 hours by late May.
